Worked out this morning for 1hr. This let me utilize more free fatty acids because the body runs on fatty acids as you sleep.
I got a headache after my workout.
Not surprising because yeaterday was my fourth day in a row since I‘d re-adopted my intermittent fasting eating protocol (during shelter in place order). I’ll normally be eating on a 16/8 hour split for 5 days a week. That’s 16 hour fast, 8 hour feed. I’ve since burned 6 lbs worth of energy.
3 lbs of that was probably water and glycogen and free fatty acids. I noticeably, already look leaner and more vascular. I‘m currently working out twice a day, performing Hiit Workouts in the morning and weight training in the evening.
Now that you have some background, I’ll fess up! I broke my fast today because my headache was just not going away. 🤷♂️ And you know what? I didn’t feel guilty about it. I ate a “fitness-minded” breakfast and had about 1/2 gallon of water.
The slow digesting carbohydrate Oats and the fast digesting honey is a good combo. I added cinnamon to help the body regulate the sugar. The honey should help replenish my body and my brain with some quick glycogen. The oats should keep me full for a few hours.
The EGGS are my protein. Needed to repair and prep my muscles and bolster my amino acid stores for tonight’s resistance training workout.
This is my recommended action if you are intermittently fasting and you get a headache that’s become unbearable. Maybe you just don’t want to tolerate it!🗡 Once you feel better, you can then decide a good time to restart your fasting protocol and keep the fat burning going.
Remember, it’s okay to do these things on your diet or during a diet. You don’t have to suffer in agony, use your judgement. Cheers.
